Lynx Hollow Victor (ennobled) combined good looks, flare, amazing size/mass and tons of meat that he passed on to his kids - All of this combined into one heck of a buck that won time after time in the show ring AND consistently produced winners. His son Lynx Hollow Grub also was a champion wether producer!

Unfortunately both Victor and Grub died prematurely but left a lasting impact in the Northwest!

This is a Fullblood buckling of Coaco's aptly named Bucko - Young age tons of meat now producing babies
This Eclipse doeling had tremendous width at a few days old
At just a couple months same doeling developing nicely in the rear!
What some people don't realize is using a purebred buck, like one to right (BRC Big Rock Rey) can give you much more meat and quicker rate of gain. This is probably from the cross breeding with the Nubian breed which makes awesome milk to feed their kids.

We added quite a few different bucks over the years, since our purchase (and sale) of Rey, however he was always bred to at least 2 does so we were guaranteed a meat wether or two. We never butchered a wether other than one of Rey's, they were the fastest growing, the heaviest and always looked the yummiest!! :)  We have a 2010 left over wether that people keep wanting to buy, but he is our last Rey baby and we are going to eat him!
Pasture of Rey boys, from purebreds to % boys, uniform muscling and breed character to boot. Only thing missing is WHERE IS THAT COLOR!!! :)
Do not tell anyone in my family that Sir is on the meat goat page!

This guy started out as a bottle baby for friends of ours that got us into goats with this dude in 2003. He was about 4lbs at birth, matured nicely and is a royal butthead. We love him. He is 50% Boer and 50% Nubian. Nice height, width and my hubby would love to eat him. When I told Brice last year, we can butcher him if you want to, but YOU have to put him down, he changed his mind. So he can now, no longer tease Sir about becoming Tacos, he is here to stay.
This doe, Velvet may or may not have the boer breed influence, but she is packing on the meat and consistently produces meaty kids. Her first 3 bucks stayed bucks for commercial herds. She's 5/5 in the color department too! Her red doeling above by Eclipse is from 2010. As long as I'm breeding for meat, color and or conformation this doe will always be here. No matter the direction I go in, she seems to always fit in the plan.
