Teats on Doelings/does that have not kidded
Teats on does that have kidded
This red doe cut her teats twice escaping through 4 prong barb wire fencing. These cuts were perfect entrance for staph, and we lost this doe to staph/mastitis infection - On a happier note, notice the teats below - this is her dam - breeding to a FB Boer Buck really shortened those teats and gave her a better mammary system!
Pop bottle teats on 50% doe
Minnie was a 2/2 teated doe, but only 1/1 were functional. The highest teat different non-rounded shape was not a working teat.
If all my does could have a bag like Lori (Right) 1/1 always perfect and always full!!
Next to her Reba's udder starting to fill with colostrum before kidding
First time freshners - Kit Kat (right) nice tight udder kidded twins first time, would kid triplets next go around and feed all 3. She had 2 teats on one side and 3 teats on the other (only 2 were functional)
Pixie (far right) nice up high tight bag, she was 2/1 singled first time then twinned twice after that before I sold her.
"Dry" doe & filling up before kidding & FULL at kidding
The three photos below: This doe fed her kids fine for me for two kiddings before I sold her - most importantly, 4 kids with perfect 2/2 teats
The three photos below: This doe twin to above doe kidded twice for me also with no feeding issues and kids had teats 2/1 and 2/2 clean before I sold her
Hard to tell from this small photo but this bite is right on
Easy to see without opening this does mouth her bite is off, she looks like she is pouting! To the right you see how her teeth stick out farther than her top gumline
Testes/Scrotums on Bucks of course
